How to invert an image

Choose or drop one image, click Invert colors, compare Original and Result, then download the original-size PNG. Inverting again always starts from the imported original.

What color inversion does

This is a whole-image RGB negative effect. It does not select objects, recover scanned film negatives, restore colors or edit meaning. Use Image Color Changer to replace a selected shade instead. PNG, JPEG and static WebP only; up to 12 MiB, 4,194,304 pixels and 4096 pixels per side. Animated images are not supported.

Browser decoding and PNG export may normalize color profiles, round RGB under partial transparency, or discard hidden RGB in fully transparent pixels. Transparency is retained; metadata is not preserved.
